Sanjay Mahato, known to his friends as Tinku, lives in the village of Dabar in the district of Purulia in West Bengal, India.  Tinku is a community leader who supports his friends and family in many different ways.  He also works to preserve the culture of his people. During the past ten years Tinku has managed numerous overseas tours for his local musicians and dance troupes. It is through Tinku's work with his people that the projects shown on this website came about.
